We are here to help. Below are some of the common questions we are asked.
Who coaches the teams?
No coaches, the kids have a good kick around and self organise on the pitch. It’s all in good fun.
What time do the matches start?
Once signups are complete we will make the final determination on how age groups and teams will be split. Until that happens we won’t know exactly. However, the first games are likely to start at 4 or 4:15pm. The program lasts 10 weeks in alignment with term 4 at school.
How many kids are on a team? What is the field size?
Once signups are closed we will build out team and field sizes based upon player experience, number of signups and referee availability. Our goal is to maximise touches on the ball given those constraints.
What team will my child be on?
We use software to help create the most balanced teams to keep matches close and enjoyable for everyone. The age groups, team sizes and team members will be confirmed after signups are closed. We allow one mutual friend request per child to be made, and once both players are registered you can make that request here https://form.jotform.com/262148398817066
If my child played in U7 this winter should they sign up in U7 or U8?
U7. Everyone should register based upon what they played this winter. If you did not play this winter just follow the link to signup based upon birth year.
If my child was born in 2021 this year (ie U5) but played in U6 this winter season should they sign up for U5 or U6?
They should sign up for U5 based upon their birthday year of 2021. Age groups will be combined based upon signups so they may play with U6 TBD.
